This crochet pattern is perfect to get you in the Halloween mood! I named the bat "vital" because I always have to remind myself that bats are vital to our environment. I find myself creeped out about them but they really are important (they eat bugs!!)

Vital the Vampire Bat

Supplies:

  • Bernat blanket or baby blanket yarn in one color (one skein), and a small amount of another color yarn for the mouth and claws. Or use any color combo!

  • Fiber fill or similar filling for stuffing

  • Safety eyes 15 mm (solid black)

  • Large sewing needle

  • Size G 5.0 mm crochet hook

For this crochet pattern you will need the following stitches:

  • mc=magic circle

  • sc=single crochet

  • 2 sc in one stitch=increase (inc)

  • 2 sc together=decrease (dec)

All crocheted in the round and using the invisible decrease (decreasing only using the front loops)
