Uriel the Unicorn! The cutest unicorn this side of the rainbow!!

This is a super fun pattern that looks great in many different colors! Make one for anyone who enjoys something magical :) Perfect for a little girls tea party or the teen who has everything else.




Supplies:

  • Bernat blanket or baby blanket yarn in five colors. Or use any color combo!

  • Fiber fill or similar filling for stuffing

  • Safety eyes 18 mm

  • Large sewing needle

  • Size H 5.5 mm crochet hook



For this crochet pattern you will need the following stitches:


  • mc=magic circle

  • sc=single crochet

  • 2 sc in one stitch=increase (inc)

  • 2 sc together=decrease (dec)



All crocheted in the round and using the invisible decrease (decreasing only using the front loops)






Pattern for the head:

  1. Mc (6 stitches)

  2. Inc in each stitch (12)

  3. (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)

  4. (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)

  5. 1 sc in each stitch (24)

  6. 1 sc in each stitch (24), switch colors

  7. 1 sc in each stitch (24)

  8. (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)

  9. (2sc , inc) x 6 (24)

  10. (2 sc, inc) x 8 (32)

  11. (3 sc, inc) x 8 (40)

  12. 1 sc in each stitch in each stitch except last two stitches 2 sc (42)

  13. 1 sc in each stitch (42)

  14. 1 sc in each stitch (42)

  15. 1 sc in each stitch (42),

  16. (5 sc,dec) x 6 (36)

  17. 1 sc in each stitch (36)

  19. 1 sc in each stitch (36), start to stuff head and make sure to stuff “snout” well, insert safety eyes between rounds 10 and 11 with 5-6 stitches between

Sewing: I usually sew in this order to make lining up easiest

  1. Horn to the head

  2. Ears and hair

  3. Head to the body

  4. Arms

  5. Legs

  6. Tail
