This hippo pattern is inspired by the most adorable hippo family at the Cincinnati, OHIO zoo! Mom (Bibi), dad (Tucker), famous daughter (Fiona), and new little brother (Frtiz). Fiona was born prematurely and needed extra TLC. She is now thriving thanks to the great staff at the zoo and it will be fun to watch her grow up with her new brother.

Flatten feet by attaching a 12 inch piece of yarn to bottom of foot. Flatten foot with hands and insert needle in bottom of foot. Push needle through foot and come out near where you want the top of foot. Insert neede in stitch next to where you came out and push through foot to bottom of foot. Repeat until you have the shape you want. Add pink toes by sewing.
